1. How long have you been in business and what experience do you have?
Bluemel’s Garden & Landscape Center has provided high-quality landscaping services to the Metro-Milwaukee area for over 65 years. As a landscaper with extensive experience, we pride ourselves on creating beautiful, functional, long-lasting landscapes that customers can enjoy for years to come.
2. What differentiates you from your competitors?
We have been an industry leader since 1955 and have seen many landscaping companies come and go through the years. Our knowledge of all things landscape-related, combined with the ability to handle all types and sizes of jobs, commercial or residential, has made us a dominant landscaper in the market. Aside from our knowledge and quality of work, what really separates us the most from our competitors is our personability and desire to always exceed your expectations. When you choose us, we work with you every step of the process and offer continued support after the job has been completed.
3. Are you licensed and insured?
We are a licensed landscaper and contractor and are fully insured. That way, you can have peace of mind that you are hiring a prepared, responsible contractor.
4. What services do you offer?
We offer complete, professional softscape services like mulching, edging flower beds, tree and shrub installation or removal, and correcting drainage issues. According to Bankrate, on average, landscaping increases a home's value by 15-20%. We're not just a landscaper, however! We also offer hardscape services like retaining walls, accent walls, and paver patios. Our team can also complete niche services like outdoor fireplaces and kitchens.
5. Do you provide a free consultation or estimate?
We offer free, no-pressure consultations that can be conducted in the comfort of your home. You can also visit our location where you can see physical examples of our work. A consultation is one of the easiest ways to learn that we're the landscaper perfect for the job.
6. Do you offer landscape design?
As a landscaper with years of experience, we offer classic 2D and 3D designs in amazing color and detail for those larger jobs that require visualization. Always to scale, these renderings have fully customizable capabilities that give you the opportunity to better envision your project before it comes to fruition.
7. How long will the project take to complete?
As any landscaper and contractor would tell you, the timeframe of each project varies depending upon the work that is involved and the time of year that the job has been signed and scheduled.
8. Do I need to be home during the installation?
Because communication is extremely important to us, our process is designed so that all parties are on the same page on the day of the installation. This means that you do not need to be present unless you feel more comfortable doing so. It’s important for you to know that as a trusted landscaper, we always take your property, and your neighbor’s property, into consideration during the project. You can always expect the worksite to be as clean and quiet as possible. We utilize the new OSHA-compliant “dustless technology” on all brick and paver patio installations.
9. Do you offer any warranties or guarantees on your work?
As a trusted landscaper and contractor, we always stand by our work. We offer two-year warranties for all brickwork and one-year warranties for all tree and shrub installations from the installation date.
10. How do you handle unexpected issues or changes during the project?
One of the things that customers appreciate about us is our adaptability to all types of situations. We’re very aware that changes or unforeseen situations can sometimes occur on a job. As a landscaper, our goal is to exceed customer’s expectations, so we are always willing and able to adjust when necessary.
